A little treat for anyone following 'Lessons in Love'
*giggles*now you all know what I'm like about doing my background research...well I went and took this little snap for you all...*giggles*http://www.geocities.com/stars_and_planets_taking_shape/griffths.jpgplus...http://www.gu.edu.au/and yes, they do do both an Accounting/Maths course and (obviously) Teaching Training... well the guy had to go *somewhere* IRL and it is the most local one...http://www.gu.edu.au/faculty/edu/...not that he finished his training...oh well the Educational Establishment's lose was undoubtedly our enjoyments' (and his bank balance's!) gain...*sigh* when will teachers start getting the pay and conditions that they deserve?sorry...soapbox subject close to my heart.

LOLi had wondered what their uni would look like. ;) you know, i've always been a little unclear w/ the timeline of Darren dating Adam and running away and then starting uni. Had seemed like he'd be starting a year or so behind but if he's one year ahead in studies of Dan, then he would've started on time. or maybe he doubled up on courses since he said he didn't spend much time socializing. oh just ignore me. i tend to think about unimportant things like this too much.
No - that's a very valid point...ermmm...*thinks on her feet* lets see, using the evidence already before us...he was quite young when he came 'out - say maybe 18 but then he would have been barely legal when he started dating Adam as he meet Adam and *then* came out, though admittedly fairly soon after they started dating...hmmm...and he was working at a record store whilst they were living together so hmm...yeah that would have made him at least 19/20 before running away and then going to Uni...oh dear, whoops...*whispers* can we chalk (no pun intended really!)that up to artistic license - and the fact the story is ever evolving...really when we started it Adam wasn't even a character, he and all the others just sort of appeared as and when they were needed...knocked on our door and just kinda took up residence...*curses again**goes off and hides*
Well, I couldn't see the first link, but I saw the other two. Thanks I appreciate the work you've gone to for that.And I agree. Teachers around the world don't get enough money or respect for the work they do. It is a shame.
LOL it's ok. i completely understand. sometimes these things happen. i've been working on a fic w/ someone for nearly a year now. one of the scenes we had Daniel borrow a guitar from somewhere so he could play whilst visiting Darren. A few months later, we found out Darren does own a guitar so his own guitar magically appeared at his house. We'll have to edit that if/when we ever get it ready for mass consumption by readers. i guess that would make the motorcycle as an 'off to uni' present different too. ok ok i'll stop now!and for what i forgot to say in my original post: i completely agree w/ what you said about teachers not getting the pay and respect they deserve. i'm seriously considering becoming one. 2 of my cousins are in college to become that. it's just so disheartening the crap they throw teachers. especially the FCAT in Florida, which the Prez wants to make national.

He ran from Adam after he put him in hospital but I will need to check but I'm guessing he spent some of the time between then and going away at home, sobbing on his Mum's shoulder (actually yes, because Adam came round one day and threatended Darren and his Dad and teh neighbours saw him off) - and also because he's the type of character who would go home to Mum for some TLC after something like that.
